Job Description
About CodeRabbit
CodeRabbit is the leading AI code review platform, trusted by more than 17,000 customers and 150,000 open-source projects, conducting over 2 million code reviews each week. We build the symbiotic partnership between developers and AI that makes shipping fast software safe again, reviewing every pull request, IDE change, and CLI commit so teams can move quickly without breaking things.
We are a fast-moving, well-funded company, fresh off a $143M Series C at a $1.5B valuation — building Agentic Change Management, the control layer for software changes created by humans and agents. As AI writes more of the world's code, the bottleneck moves from implementation to judgment and helping human judgment scale is exactly the problem we exist to solve.
About the role
CodeRabbit's brand is how millions of developers first decide whether to trust us. As our Visual Designer, your home base is CodeRabbit's web presence — coderabbit.ai, product launches, and campaign moments — where you'll design pages, systems, and visuals that get built and shipped, not just handed off. But the impact is bigger than the site: you'll shape how the CodeRabbit brand shows up everywhere it lives, from launch announcements and event experiences to motion, illustration, and social, across digital and physical mediums.
Developers have finely tuned radars for the generic and the overhyped. Our work decides whether CodeRabbit reads as credible craft or as marketing noise — and we care deeply about the details that earn that credibility: the typography, the motion, the pixels, the restraint. We ship fast and learn in the open.
First and foremost, this is a visual design role. Exceptional creativity and design craft for the web are what matter most. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers who turn design into production code, and you're encouraged to get hands-on in the medium yourself — but we're hiring you for your eye and your ideas.
What you'll do
Define our visual language. Own the creative direction for CodeRabbit's most-seen surfaces — coderabbit.ai, product launches, and campaigns — and set a visual standard the whole company builds from.
Create the moments people remember. Design hero animations, launch visuals, event environments, and campaign work that lands with a developer audience across screen and physical space.
Own creative vision end to end. Carry work from the first spark of a concept to the finished result shipped on the real web, alongside engineers who turn your designs into production code.
Set the craft bar. Establish the typography, motion, and detail that make a page unmistakably CodeRabbit — the kind of work other teams measure themselves against.
Move fluidly across mediums. Work across web, motion, illustration, 3D, and brand identity, and raise the bar wherever CodeRabbit shows up.
Systematize the brand. Build visual systems and reusable patterns — not one-offs — so the brand scales consistently across every launch, page, and channel.
What we're looking for
Above all, a distinctive eye and original ideas. Exceptional visual design instincts and creativity are the heart of this role, and the web is where most of your work will live.
You ship fast and elevate craft. You would rather get something in front of the world this week than perfect it for a month, and you find ways to maintain care for the details while moving quickly.
You're AI-native in how you work. You already use AI tools to extend what you can build and see AI as a creative partner in your own practice.
You think in systems. You design components and patterns, not one-offs, and consider how each choice fits a broader visual system.
You know the web as a medium. You understand how layouts behave, what's buildable, and how design becomes code — and you thrive collaborating with engineers.
You make moments land. You've shaped launches, events, or campaign surfaces under real deadlines and know how to deliver when it counts.
You may be a good fit if you have
5+ years of design experience with a portfolio spanning brand systems and multiple digital and physical mediums, anchored by strong, shipped web work.
Meaningful hands-on range across several of these: motion, 3D, illustration, environmental and event design, and interaction.
Experience designing for developer, B2B, or technical audiences, and comfort operating in a technology-driven environment.
Mastery of modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and an egoless, self-starting approach — you take feedback well and give it generously.
Nice to have
Ability to prototype or bring ideas to life in code (HTML/CSS/JS, React).
Experience contributing to a design system or brand system at scale.
Familiarity with CodeRabbit, Git workflows, or the developer tools landscape.
What we offer
The chance to define the visual identity of a category-defining AI product used by millions of developers.
A collaborative, high-velocity environment working alongside strong engineers and AI researchers.
Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and benefits.
Professional development and the resources to do the best work of your career.
