About 1X
We’re building humanoid robots that work in home - doing the chores, handling the tasks, and giving people their time back. Simple, but it’s not.
To do this right, we have to solve robotics, AI, manufacturing - at the same time, at scale, in a form factor that has to be safe enough to live with your family. If you’re inspired by this, you’ll thrive here. We’ve been at this since 2014 and we’re at the point where the hard problems are behind us and the hard work is in front of us.
NEO is our flagship - a home robot designed to move, learn, and operate in the real world alongside real people. We’re not demoing it - we’re shipping it. We’re excited to meet you, if this excites you.
If you’ve spent your career working on problems that matter and want to see them actually reach the world - this is that moment. We’re scaling, we’re hiring with intention, and we need people who want to build something that will genuinely change how humans spend their time - safely creating abundance for all.
About the Team:
The Logistics team ensures every component needed to build NEO is in the right place at the right time. As manufacturing scales, accurate inventory becomes a competitive advantage. This team builds the operational discipline and visibility that keeps production moving efficiently and enables confident business decisions.
Your Charter: Own the integrity of inventory across 1X's manufacturing and warehouse operations. You'll drive inventory accuracy through analysis, auditing, reporting, and process improvements that support production, logistics, and supply chain teams as we scale robot manufacturing.
Key Outcomes:
Maintain world-class inventory accuracy through cycle count execution, variance reconciliation, and continuous monitoring.
Reduce inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions that improve inventory control processes.
Deliver timely reporting and dashboards that provide visibility into inventory health, adjustments, shrinkage, and operational trends.
Ensure Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), excess and obsolete inventory, and material dispositions are executed accurately with minimal operational disruption.
Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Finance to improve inventory processes and support scalable operations.
Key Competencies:
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns, investigate discrepancies, and drive data-backed decisions.
Deep understanding of inventory control methodologies, including cycle counting, ABC classification, and variance analysis.
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with evolving priorities.
Clear communicator who collaborates effectively across warehouse, production, and business teams.
Minimum Requirements:
5+ years of experience in inventory control, inventory analysis, logistics, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
Experience performing cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, root cause analysis, and inventory reporting.
Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar.
Experience building reports or dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or comparable analytics tools.
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing in robotics, automotive, aerospace, electronics, or other complex hardware industries.
Experience managing inventory impacts associated with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD).
Experience leading inventory process improvement initiatives or warehouse optimization projects.
