Job Description

About Us

Legora is redefining how legal work gets done. Not built for lawyers, built with them. We work alongside the world’s best legal teams, who expect excellence, precision, and speed, and we hold ourselves to the same bar.

Our AI-native workspace lets legal professionals move faster, think more clearly, and operate with sharper precision. By analysing thousands of documents in minutes and powering end-to-end workflows, we cut through complexity, teams can focus on what matters: judgment, strategy, and outcomes.

2,100+ customers across 80+ countries trust us, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays. We’ve scaled to $200M+ in ARR, with teams across Europe, North America and APAC, and continue to expand through acquisitions including Qura, Walter AI, Graceview, Cadastral, and Wexler.

We partner with world-class performers: including Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, Ludvig Åberg (and his caddie), and campaigns featuring Jude Law.

Joining Legora means three things.

  • We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions.

  • We fight for excellence: high standards, direct, ego-free feedback.

  • We grow together: as a team and with our customers.

Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts.

If you’re driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place.

The role
This role owns the day-to-day operational delivery of the employee lifecycle at Legora. From offer to exit, you will make sure employee changes are accurate, requests are resolved on time, and processes work reliably across our markets. You will also build the self-service and support that help employees and managers get what they need quickly.

Reporting to the Director of People Operations, you will lead a distributed team of People Operations Specialists. You will own self-service, including our People knowledge base, and support for routine employee and manager requests. You will set service standards, manage delivery and keep improving how the work gets done as volumes and complexity grow.

You will build an AI-first way of operating: designing routine work around self-service, AI agents and automation, with people applying judgement where it matters. You will own the service design, priorities and outcomes, partnering with People Tech & Data on technical implementation and People Advisory on local interpretation. This is a hands-on leadership role, with a clear expectation to test, learn and turn successful experiments into reliable daily practice.

What you'll own

  • The People Operations Specialist team. Hire, coach and develop People Operations Specialists, managing priorities, workload and coverage across markets.

  • The full employee lifecycle, operationally. Own accurate, timely execution from offer to exit, including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers and organisational changes.

  • Tier 0 self-service. Build AI-powered self-service experiences that help employees and managers find trusted answers and complete routine tasks, backed by current guidance and clear routes to human support.

  • Tier 1 support. Where human to human support really matters, ensure efficient and accurate triage and resolution, with clear service levels and timely escalation to People Advisory or specialist teams.

  • Contracts, changes and payroll inputs. Oversee employment documentation and employee changes, partnering with Payroll on accurate inputs and deadlines, and People Advisory on local exceptions.

  • Benefits and leave administration. Deliver accurate enrolments, changes and routine leave processing in line with approved policies. Routing local interpretation to People Advisory and sensitive matters to Employee Relations & Compliance.

  • Employee records and operational controls. Keep employee records and HRIS transactions accurate and audit-ready, with clear checks and appropriate handling of personal data.

  • Process excellence and automation. Simplify and standardise processes, challenge manual steps and maintain clear SOPs to enable reliable AI agents and automated workflows. Own operational requirements, testing and adoption, partnering with People Tech & Data on technical implementation.

  • Service performance and operational readiness. Use service metrics and feedback to improve delivery. Coordinate operational support for people programs, new markets, acquisitions and entity transitions.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years in People Operations, including managing a team and delivering employee lifecycle services in a fast-growing, international company.

  • A track record of running accurate, high-volume lifecycle operations across multiple markets, with strong knowledge of employee documentation, payroll inputs, benefits and leave administration.

  • Experience running a People service desk or shared service, including request triage, service levels, workload management and escalation routes.

  • Experience building or improving employee self-service and knowledge management, with a clear view of what makes guidance useful and easy to maintain.

  • An AI-first approach to operations: you actively look for work that can be simplified, automated or delivered through AI, and can show measurable improvements in speed, quality or employee experience.

  • An operator's mindset: organised, detail-oriented and comfortable using service data to set priorities, plan capacity and hold a team accountable for delivery.

  • Sound judgement on what belongs in routine operations and when to involve People Advisory, Employee Relations & Compliance, Total Rewards or Payroll.

  • Clear communication, a strong service mindset and the ability to work effectively across Finance, Legal, IT and the wider People team.

  • Fluency in English, which is our working language.

Why this role
Every hire, employee change and question is a chance to make working at Legora easier. You will lead the team that delivers those moments well and build the service model that keeps them reliable as we grow. From useful self-service to accurate lifecycle execution, your work will give employees and managers dependable support and create capacity for the People team to focus where its expertise is needed most.
