Job Description
About Nooks.ai:
Nooks is an applied AI lab building the Agent Workspace for GTM. We design AI agents that operate across the full sales action set, from account strategy to prospect research and outreach. Building 0→1 has never been easier, but selling at the speed of the market remains the last frontier for AI. Our mission is to 10x every seller by automating the busywork so they can focus on what humans do best: closing deals.
Today, over 1,500 customers run on Nooks, including Notion, HubSpot, Cursor, and Rippling. We’ve raised $70M+ from top VCs like Kleiner Perkins, which made its first sales-tech investment in over a decade with us. Since then, we’ve tripled ARR each year for 3 years running and grown a high-caliber team turning the art of sales into a scalable science.
About the Role:
This is a great opportunity to join Nooks’ growing Finance team and play a critical role in our internal accounting function. Reporting directly to the Sr. Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will be a key player in ensuring our financial reporting cadence is timely, accurate, and insightful.
You’ll be at the forefront of modern accounting practices, working with AI tools and systems automation. This role is perfect for someone with an “in the weeds” mentality who is ready to tackle daily accounting tasks, own crucial parts of the month-end close, and help build scalable processes for our next phase of rapid growth.
Working Hours: This role requires flexibility to collaborate across Central European and Pacific Time zones. Depending on the day and meeting schedule, working hours may shift later to accommodate collaboration with our U.S. headquarters, while other days will follow standard Central European business hours.
Core Responsibilities:
Month-End & Year-End Close: Assist with the execution of timely and accurate monthly and annual close processes, preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining general ledger integrity in accordance with US GAAP.
Tech Stack & GL Integrations: Oversee integrations across our financial tech stack (e.g., Stripe, Brex, Deel) to ensure all sub-ledger activities flow seamlessly into the general ledger with line-item transactional accuracy, proper account coding, and routine reconciliations.
Core Accounting Operations & Policies: Own day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, corporate credit cards, and expense reimbursements. Work with the Finance team on implementation and ongoing improvements of accounting policies, and maintenance of technical records.
Financial Reporting & FP&A Partnership: Partner with FP&A to conduct monthly budget vs. actual variance analyses, track departmental spending, and deliver actionable financial insights.
Audit & Tax: Serve as a key contributor during annual external audits and tax filings by preparing audit schedules (PBCs) and maintaining clean, well-organized documentation.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Support company compliance across local, state, and international regulatory authorities (including sales & use tax compliance) to ensure timely and accurate filings.
Cross-departmental Collaboration: Partner with finance team members and other leaders from across the organization to ensure alignment on projects, processes, and controls impacting the financial statements.
What You Bring to the Table:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is required, CPA a plus.
3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in SaaS or a similar high-growth environment where implementation and execution are key aspects.
Experience with ERP systems such as Quickbooks, NetSuite, or other Accounting software, with a strong aptitude for learning new systems.
Public accounting (Big 4 or similar) experience is a plus.
Proficient in Google Suite (Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive) and modern cloud productivity tools.
Fluent in English.
Excellent attention to detail & strong problem-solving skills.
A proactive team player with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and build scalable processes.
