Job Description
NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. It's a unique legacy of innovation that's fueled by great technology—and amazing people.
Today, we're tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what's never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world's best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you'll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world.
When something breaks at our site — a network failure, a collaboration platform outage, a broken application dependency — somebody has to take command. That's this role. As Senior IT Engineer you are the site's Outage / Incident Manager, and between incidents you own the workplace technology that thousands of engineering hours depend on. We're looking for someone who stays calm when the bridge is loud, communicates clearly to engineers and executives alike, and takes real pride in a well-run site.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as Incident Manager for site-level and high-impact outages — own triage, run the bridge, coordinate infrastructure, network, security, and application teams, and drive to resolution.
- Own leadership and stakeholder communication during incidents, then lead post-incident reviews and track corrective actions to completion.
- Drive down MTTD and MTTR by improving monitoring, alerting, escalation paths, and runbook quality.
- Deliver onsite and remote support across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android, and maintain site infrastructure, print, Teams, and meeting room AV alongside global specialist teams.
- Own the hardware lifecycle end to end — onboarding and offboarding, tech refresh forecasting, procurement, OEM warranty coordination, and asset inventory and reconciliation.
What We Need To See
- 5+ years in IT support, end-user computing, or workplace technology, including time in a senior or lead capacity, with a Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated experience managing major incidents or outages end to end — coordinating multiple teams and communicating with stakeholders under pressure, within an ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change framework.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting across Windows and macOS, with working knowledge of Linux, iOS, and Android, plus hardware lifecycle and asset management experience.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Azure AD / Active Directory, MFA portals, Microsoft Exchange (hybrid), and Microsoft 365, plus core networking concepts sufficient to isolate a problem and engage the right team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, strong ownership and customer empathy, the judgement to know when to escalate, and willingness to join an on-call rotation.
Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd
- Formal experience as a designated Incident Commander or Major Incident Manager in an enterprise environment, backed by ITIL Foundation or equivalent certification.
- A track record of reducing ticket volume or resolution time through automation, documentation, or process change — with the numbers to show it.
- Scripting ability (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) and hands-on endpoint management experience with Intune, SCCM, Jamf, or Workspace ONE.
- Experience supporting engineering or research users running high-performance workstations, GPUs, or specialised lab equipment.
- Comfort using AI-powered tools to accelerate diagnosis, documentation, and knowledge-base authoring.
