*Note: This position is based in our Bengaluru office. As the founding site leader, you will set the on-site standard for the team you build. Regular overlap with US Pacific business hours is required.

Business Technology & IT at Lambda builds and scales the internal systems that power our business. We partner across the company with Finance, GTM, Engineering, and People to implement tools, automate workflows, and ensure data flows securely and accurately. Our scope spans enterprise applications, integrations, data platform and analytics, compliance automation, and all things IT.

We are hiring a Senior leader to establish and lead our Bengaluru site. This is the founding leadership hire for Lambda's India capability center. You will own Corporate IT delivery for the site end to end, provide dotted-line leadership across Bengaluru-based business systems specialists, and carry a phased general manager mandate: start as the site's senior technology leader, and grow into running the center as it scales.

This is a player-coach role. You will set direction and operating discipline while staying close to the work: resolving critical issues, shaping delivery decisions, and making sure every employee at the site has a secure, productive technology experience from day one. Year one is hands-on. You will be hiring your own team while personally covering the gaps.

What You'll Do

• Site Leadership: Serve as the senior technology leader and de facto general manager for the Bengaluru site. Represent the site to global leadership, anticipate growth needs, and translate local realities into decisions the company can act on.

• Corporate IT: Support employee technology experience end to end: onboarding, endpoints, identity and access, office network and AV, collaboration tools, support, asset lifecycle, and offboarding.

• Site Buildout: Stand up the office technology foundation from zero: connectivity, conferencing, device provisioning, and local vendor relationships, all aligned to Lambda's global standards.

• Team Building: Design the Bengaluru staffing plan with global pillar leads, then hire, onboard, coach, and retain high-caliber talent across IT Operations, Finance Systems, and GTM Systems as the site scales.

• Matrix Leadership: Provide dotted-line leadership for Bengaluru-based Financial Systems Analysts, Salesforce Developers, and other business technology specialists. Functional priorities and career ownership stay with their global leaders; you create local cohesion, remove blockers, and raise execution quality.

• Incident and Service Management: Lead from the front during high-severity incidents. Establish service management discipline: clear ownership, intake and escalation paths, measurable service levels, change controls, and continuous improvement.

• Security and Controls: Partner with global Security and our SOX program on identity, endpoint, access, and change controls.

• Global Partnership: Work closely with Security, People, Workplace, Finance, Legal, and Procurement to deliver global standards with strong local execution.

• Operating Cadence: Build the site's operating rhythm: local priorities, status reporting into the global Business Technology cadence, and a handoff model that turns the time zone difference into a follow-the-sun advantage.

You

• Experience: 12+ years in Corporate IT, enterprise technology, or IT operations, including 5+ years leading teams in India for a global company. You have built or significantly scaled a site, capability center, or country technology operation.

• Player-Coach: You still do the work. You can run a hiring plan and a vendor negotiation in the morning and personally debug an identity or network issue in the afternoon.

• Hands-On Depth: Strong judgment across identity and access, endpoint management, SaaS administration, networking, AV, asset lifecycle, and incident management.

• Matrix Credibility: You have led specialists who report to managers in other countries and time zones, and you know how to create local cohesion without displacing global accountability.

• Security and Compliance Fluency: You understand security fundamentals and have operated in an audit-facing or SOX environment. You know why access controls, change management, and evidence matter.

• Talent Builder: A record of hiring and developing strong teams in Bengaluru, including workforce planning, coaching, performance input, and succession.

• Communication: Executive-level clarity across cultures, functions, and time zones. You compress messy operational reality into updates leadership can act on.

• Judgment in Ambiguity: Calm ownership when things break, and clarity when there is no playbook. You will be the senior-most Lambda leader on the ground.

Nice to Have

• Experience establishing a new GCC or capability center: entity setup, facilities buildout, or working with GCC enablement partners.

• Direct experience with our stack: Okta, Lumos, Google Workspace, Jamf or comparable MDM, NetSuite, Salesforce, Coupa, Workday, BigQuery.

• Pre-IPO or IPO readiness exposure, including SOX ITGC.

• Experience hiring finance systems, Salesforce, or data talent in the Bengaluru market.

• Practical use of AI tooling to automate IT operations, support, and reporting.

Salary Range Information

The annual salary range for this position has been set based on market data and other factors. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
