Job Description

Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About This Role:

As a key member of Crusoe's fixed asset accounting team, you'll be the go-to partner for getting CAPEX right: reviewing purchase requisitions for proper capital versus expense treatment, working through complex capitalization entries and reconciliations, and collaborating closely with Project Managers, Cost Control, Tax, Finance, Procurement, and Operations to determine when in-service assets should be capitalized. You'll own monthly and year-to-date PP&E roll-forwards across Crusoe's consolidated and unconsolidated legal entities, contribute to broader monthly reporting and fluctuation analysis, and support audit and due diligence requests as they come up.

Beyond the day-to-day accounting, you'll play a role in team development- helping set goals, supporting professional growth, and driving process improvements that make the broader team and business partners more effective. This role suits someone who leads with curiosity, spots inefficiencies before they become problems, and thrives on bringing structure and clarity to a fast-moving, rapidly scaling environment

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • Review purchase requisitions and orders to determine proper CAPEX vs. OPEX treatment

  • Review and analyze complex capital accounting entries and reconciliations

  • Support audit and due diligence requests as needed

  • Contribute to team performance management, goal setting, and professional development

  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies, and serve as a resource to the team and business partners on accounting matters and problem-solving

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • 5–8 years of fixed asset accounting experience, combined with general ledger accounting experience

  • 3–6 years of experience managing and developing teams

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP as it relates to CAPEX vs. OPEX determinations

  • Familiarity with internal controls, SOX compliance, and accounting best practices

  • Understanding of consolidations, joint ventures, and intercompany transactions

  • Exposure to and understanding of month-end financial reporting processes

Bonus Points:

  • Aptitude for working smarter and constantly seeking ways to improve processes and drive efficiency

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Ability to balance speed with accuracy in a fast-paced environment

  • Enjoys managing and leading others, with a genuine interest in helping team members succeed

  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, solve problems, and succeed in a rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to think ahead, anticipating issues and proactively identifying solutions

  • Proficiency with ERP systems, reconciliation tools, advanced Microsoft Office, and other automation/reporting tools

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation and equity packages

  • Cell phone stipend

  • 401(k) Retirement plan with company match up to 4% of salary

  • Volunteer time off

  • Daily meals allowance

  • Additional perks & programs specific to location

Compensation:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $115,000 - $140,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
