Job Description
What You'll Do:
The DC (Data Center) Program and Cost Management team is the operational planning team responsible for the program management across the entire lifecycle of CoreWeave's data centers, ensuring strategic program objectives are translated into successful outcomes.
About the role:
We are seeking a Business Systems Manager to own the execution, coordination, governance, and driving outcomes for Data Center Operations tools used across CoreWeave's portfolio. In this role, you will serve as the primary interface between DC Operations and our IT, Systems Engineering, and Enterprise Applications teams — ensuring alignment across stakeholders, tracking progress against objective and governance for the platforms that DC Ops runs on, including DCIM, ITSM/Jira ticketing, Project Controls, CMMS, asset management, and adjacent business systems.
You will not be writing code or administering servers. Instead, you will execute on operational pain points into clear product requirements, drive cross-functional alignment on tool selection and workflow design, partner with IT and Systems Engineering to deliver implementations, and own the change management, training, and adoption that make those tools work in production. As a Business Systems Manager on the DC Ops Cost and Program Management team, you are the bridge between how DC Ops works on the ground and how our internal systems are built to support it.
- Program Execution: Lead the execution of business systems initiatives supporting Data Center Operations from project kickoff through production deployment. Develop implementation plans, coordinate cross-functional activities, manage project schedules, track risks and dependencies, and ensure successful delivery against established milestones.
- IT & Systems Engineering Partnership: Serve as the single point of contact between DC Ops and IT, Systems Engineering, Enterprise Applications, Security, and Data/Analytics teams. Translate operational requirements into technical specifications and translate technical constraints back to operational stakeholders.
- Workflow & Process Design: Define standardized workflows and data models for core Data Center Operations processes — work order intake and dispatch, change management, incident and problem management, asset lifecycle, capacity and inventory tracking, project intake and stage-gating, and cost and schedule controls. Drive consistency across sites and regions.
- DCIM Ownership: Manage deployment and enhancement activities for DCIM capabilities supporting, covering asset and capacity tracking, power and cooling visibility, rack-level inventory, and integration with networking and procurement systems. Drive vendor evaluation, implementation, and ongoing data quality.
- Jira / ITSM Ticketing: Direct implementation and enhancement of Jira (or equivalent ITSM platforms) supporting operational ticketing, project tracking, workflows, reporting, and automation. Work with system administrators and technical teams to ensure operational requirements are successfully implemented.
- Project Controls Platforms: Partner with the DC Ops PMO and Construction teams to select, configure, and operationalize project controls platforms covering schedule, cost, change order, document control, and reporting workflows.
- CMMS: Drive selection, implementation, and continuous improvement of the CMMS platform supporting preventive maintenance, work orders, spare parts inventory, and vendor service management. Ensure data integrity and adoption across all sites.
- Vendor Management: Manage implementation activities with software vendors, systems integrators, and internal technical teams. Track project deliverables, facilitate issue resolution, monitor implementation progress, and ensure vendor commitments are delivered on schedule.
- Change Management & Adoption: Lead the people side of system rollouts — communications, training, documentation, super-user networks, and adoption metrics. A great tool with poor adoption is a failed implementation; you own both halves.
- Reporting & KPIs: Develop and maintain project status reporting, implementation dashboards, adoption metrics, and operational readiness reporting. Provide leadership with visibility into project health, milestones, risks, and deployment progress.
- Documentation & Operational Support: Maintain implementation documentation including deployment plans, testing scripts, training materials, process documentation, operational procedures, and lessons learned. Ensure successful transition from project implementation to ongoing operational support.
Who You Are:
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in business systems, IT business analysis, operations systems management, or technical program management with 3+ years supporting data center, mission-critical facilities, manufacturing, or comparable physical operations environments.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Tools Portfolio: Hands-on experience defining requirements for and implementing at least two of the following: DCIM, CMMS, ITSM/Jira platforms, project controls, or asset/capacity management systems.
- Implementation Track Record: Demonstrated track record of leading end-to-end system implementations; requirements gathering, vendor selection, configuration, integration, UAT, training, and post-go-live support.
- Operational Fluency: Strong working knowledge of how Data Center Operations run, including preventive maintenance, change management, capacity planning, work order workflows, project intake and stage-gating, and the data each of those generates.
- Technical Depth: Comfortable in conversations with software engineers, IT architects, and security teams. Familiarity with REST APIs, integration patterns (iPaaS, middleware), data models, and basic SQL — enough to be a credible partner, even though you are not the one writing the code.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority. Skilled at building consensus across operations, IT, finance, and vendor stakeholders.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication. Equally comfortable writing a PRD, running a vendor demo, leading a training session, or presenting a roadmap to senior leadership.
Preferred:
- Experience scaling business systems in hyper-growth or M&A environments, including consolidating multiple legacy tools onto a unified platform.
- Experience with hyperscale or AI/HPC data center environments, including high-density and liquid-cooled deployments.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, or other enterprise platforms that commonly integrate with DC Ops systems.
- Working knowledge of BI and analytics tooling (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and modern data warehouse concepts.
