About the Team
CoreWeave’s North America Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and audit-ready operations across all owned, leased, colocation, and build-to-suit data center and warehouse facilities in the U.S. and Canada. The team translates CoreWeave’s Global EHS strategy into an auditable program that supports 24/7 mission-critical operations, high-growth construction and commissioning activity, and a rapidly expanding real estate footprint - partnering closely with Data Center Operations, Design & Construction, Critical Engineering/Facilities, Corporate Security, Sustainability, Legal, People, and Procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own site compliance across all EHS programs, training, reporting, and recordkeeping within CoreWeave’s management systems.
- Drive shared ownership of EHS across North America, embedding metrics into operational dashboards to hold teams accountable to EHS performance objectives.
- Ensure audit readiness for government agencies, ISO certifications, and customer audits.
- Chair or co-chair a regional EHS governance forum bringing together site, construction, and operations stakeholders.
- Oversee regulatory interactions, recordkeeping, and reporting across all U.S. states and Canadian provinces where CoreWeave operates.
- Own regional incident reporting, investigation, and root-cause analysis, ensuring timely notification per company and regulatory timelines.
- Maintain and exercise site emergency response, business continuity, and crisis communication plans with Security and site leadership.
- Track leading and lagging indicators and report trends, including KPI dashboards, to regional and global leadership.
- Champion a proactive safety culture, including hazard reporting, stop-work authority, and recognition programs.
- Manage regional budget and staffing plans and a network of third-party EHS service providers.
- Maintain a 24/7/365 on-call posture for mission-critical incident response and regulatory notification support.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, first responders, and insurance/risk partners across the region.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
- 15+ years of progressive EHS experience, including at least 5 years in a multi-site or regional leadership role.
- Experience supporting data centers, mission-critical facilities, or other 24/7 high-hazard industrial operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing EHS programs across multiple U.S. states, with direct experience managing regulatory engagement with federal, state, and local agencies.
- Required certification: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or NEBOSH qualification.
- High EHS technical proficiency, with proficiency using an enterprise EHS management information system and data-driven reporting.
- Strong executive communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership, and the ability to prioritize across multiple workstreams in a matrixed organization.
- Ability to travel approximately 40-60% of the time, including domestic U.S. and Canada travel, and to walk data center floors, mechanical/electrical yards, and construction sites using required personal protective equipment.
Preferred Skills:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing EHS programs across Canadian provinces, in addition to multiple U.S. states.
- Ability to obtain site-specific security or facility access clearances, including FedRAMP-supported government operations.

The base salary range for this role is $177,000 to $237,000. The starting salary will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and the market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
