Job Description
Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.
We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.
We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.
If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Director of IT & Security, you will own and lead the IT organization at Crusoe, spanning the IT Service Desk, IT Systems Engineering, and Enterprise Technology functions. In this role, you are responsible for end-to-end IT operations, enterprise business systems, and the infrastructure that supports office, manufacturing, and data center environments globally. You will define the strategy and roadmap for how internal technology enables business growth, driving critical decisions around build-vs-buy tradeoffs, automation, and AI adoption. Success in this position involves scaling the organization as the business grows, effectively managing a team that includes Director-level direct reports.
What You'll Be Working On:
Own global IT operations and service delivery, including SLAs, escalation models, and operational metrics
Lead the Service Desk, Systems Engineering, and Enterprise Technology functions, managing direct reports at the Director level.
Manage the enterprise systems portfolio, including ERP platforms , CRM , Supply Chain, and other business systems.
Define and own the multi-year enterprise technology roadmap — assessing current architecture, forming a clear technical opinion on the target state, and guiding technical teams and business stakeholders toward alignment and execution against that vision
Champion AI adoption across IT operations — leveraging AI to automate workflows, increase team capacity, and reduce manual effort at scale.
Oversee identity and access management (directory services, SSO, MFA, role-based access controls) and the complete IT asset management lifecycle.
Develop and manage annual IT budgets while owning vendor performance management — ensuring the organization maximizes value from its technology investments and vendor relationships.
Direct IT buildouts for new locations, manage onboarding and offboarding processes, and establish governance for change management, access controls, and system reliability.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
10+ years of experience across IT operations and enterprise systems, with 5+ years leading multi-function IT or enterprise technology organizations.
Proven experience owning Service Desk, Systems Engineering, and Enterprise Technology functions.
Extensive background in implementing and managing ERP platforms and enterprise business systems at scaleDeep expertise in identity and access management, device management, endpoint platforms, system integrations, and APIs.
Demonstrated track record of building and scaling teams, hiring leaders, and creating structure within a high-growth environment.
Experience operating in environments with either a manufacturing, construction, or data center presence, as well as in compliance-regulated environments such as SOX or SOC 2.
Strong operational acumen with experience managing IT budgets, vendor relationships, and build-vs-buy tradeoffs, including leveraging AI.
Executive presence with the ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels, effectively communicating technology strategy, risk, and investment tradeoffs to C-suite leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience, and the ability to pass a background check.
Bonus Points
Experience at an infrastructure, cloud, or AI company, particularly one that builds physical infrastructure at scale.
Experience leading technology modernization or transformation initiatives.
